To Whom it May Concern:
I have had the pleasure of knowing Chandra Brown for just under a year in various capacities. As one of her supervisors at the Clayton County Juvenile Court CAS A Program which she volunteers for, I've come to admire Chandra's dedication to the abused and neglected children we serve as well as her resolve and commitment to the program as a whole. Over the past year, we've witnessed on numerous occasions where Chandra has gone above and beyond the call of duty of any volunteer to make sure that the foster children she's representing have been well advocated for and have received the necessary resources to make their stay as comfortable as possible while they are in the state's care. As part of her volunteer work for Clayton County CAS A, she is responsible for writing, formatting, and delivering frequent technical reports to the Juvenile Court Judge on the cases she manages. Her findings are always very concise, clear, and very well written; her recommendations are always thoughtful and full of insight We are proud to have her as part of our program as she has been instrumental in helping to find permanency for several children in our county's foster care system.
On a personal level, Chandra has proven to be one of the most caring and giving individuals I have met in a very long time. As I've related to her on several occasions, her ambition and drive is nothing less than admirable. . . especially considering her turbulent past and the car accident which left her with a brain injury. In all honesty, if Chandra hadn't told me about her disability, I would have NEVER known that she suffered as she had. Having recently graduated from Clayton State University in May 2006, I believe Chandra's tenacity and perseverance will help her do well while matriculating at your school. Her personal and professional successes over the past few years are a testament to her intestinal fortitude and cognitive ability in spite of her injury.
In summary, I highly recommend Chandra Brown for the program she's seeking to enter at Clayton State University. Given the opportunity to prove herself, she will be a fine addition to the roster of proud alum that your school has prepared to enter the work force.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call me.
Most sincerely,
